Rat Hole Mining and Successful Rescue
Rat hole mining, a banned mining technique, played a crucial role in the successful rescue operation. After high-tech machines failed to drill through the collapsed portion, this unique mining technique helped clear the last few meters.
Personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) assessed the condition of the trapped workers and guided them through the rescue protocols.
Each worker was then carefully strapped to a stretcher and manually pulled up through 60 meters of rock and debris.
