The ever-evolving smartphone market has a new entrant – the Vivo V29e 5G. With a premium design, a vivid display, and an engaging camera.
Vivo V29e Review: Design & Display
The Vivo V29e 5G boasts a beautiful, sleek profile with a dual-tone back, banding along with the camera cutouts, and Vivo’s branding on the patterned stripe.
Sporting a hole-punch curved display, it maintains the design familiar to the Vivo V-series. The result is an exquisite smartphone that is light, slim, and easy to use with one hand.
The Vivo V29e comes with an elegantly sharp 6.78-inch 10-bit curved AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and HDR10+ support.
However, it lacks the vibrancy under sunlight and doesn’t support HDR content on YouTube, which might disappoint some users. Despite these minor drawbacks, this device still offers an immersive viewing experience.
Vivo V29e Review: Performance & Battery
This is where the Vivo V29e falls short. For a price tag of Rs 27,000, it does not deliver a power-packed performance.
The use of a Snapdragon 695 processor, usually seen in lower priced smartphones, hampers its ability to handle high-performance tasks smoothly.
While this is rather disappointing, it offers a silver lining in the form of an amazing battery backup.
The Vivo V29e houses a 5000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support, allowing it to easily last more than 1.5 days even under heavy usage. Despite the lengthier charging time using the fast charger, it provides impressive battery life.
Vivo V29e: Camera
Recognised for its expertise in smartphone cameras, Vivo presents a dual rear camera system on the V29e. Unfortunately, it falls short of expectations with some low-light shots appearing hazy and devoid of vibrant colours.
Nevertheless, it manages to deliver pretty impressive portrait photos.
The Vivo V29e is undoubtedly a high-priced smartphone, delivering on design, camera setup, and battery but falling short in terms of performance
However, if aesthetics, camera capabilities, and battery life are your main priorities, the Vivo V29e is definitely worth considering.
