Realme, one of the fastest-growing smartphone brands, will launch a new flagship smartphone in India on August 18 as part of the Realme GT series.
“From the inception of speed to taking it to next level, everyone has pushed their limits over the last century. #realme has given it a whole new meaning with the upcoming #realmeGT series. Get ready for some fast-paced action with the #FlagshipKiller2021,” Madhav Sheth, Realme India CEO said in a tweet.
According to Mashable India, the Realme GT 5G was unveiled in China in March and was quickly followed by the Realme GT Neo, GT Neo Flash, GT Master, and GT Master Explorer.

Which model Realme intends to launch in India is unknown.
Madhav also included four images in his tweet, implying the launch of at least four GT phones.
The Realme GT will be available in the same colours as the global variants, according to Mashable India. This means that when it launches in India, it will be available in blue, silver, and a vegan leather variant that is eco-friendly.
Mashable India revealed that the Realme GT 5G model will feature a 6.43-inch Full HD+ (2400x1080p) resolution Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The glass version is 8.4mm thick, while the leather version is 9.1mm thick.
As a flagship device, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core SoC with an Adreno 660 GPU. This is coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options.

According to speculations, Realme may launch both storage models in India, powered by the Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11.
In terms of cameras, the Realme GT 5G features a primary 64MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 119-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP macro camera on the rear. The rear cameras can record in 4K UHD at up to 60 frames per second and are equipped with EIS.
The device’s front panel will feature a 16MP selfie camera.
Additionally, the Realme GT comes equipped with stereo speakers, WiFi 6, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
According to Mashable India, it features a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging.
