Dom Sibley decides not to go Australia with the England Lions

Dom Sibley of Warwickshire has decided not to go Australia with the England Lions, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) stated on Thursday.

Sibley has decided to spend the winter at home working on his batting in an attempt to reclaim his England place.

“The ECB has announced the addition of Yorkshire batsman Harry Brook to the Lions team,” the ECB said in an official statement.

The visiting party will depart on November 4 alongside the Ashes squad’s Test specialists.

The Lions will train alongside the England Ashes squad in Queensland and will compete in two intra-squad matches (1 x 3-day match and 1 x 4-day match).

Additionally, they will face Australia A in a four-day encounter. Dates and locations are subject to confirmation. On December 16, the party will return home.
