National, 10 October 2023: The Entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Kanpur is back with the 12th edition of its annual Entrepreneurial Summit (E-Summit), scheduled for October 13-15, 2023, as part of its continuous effort to provide a platform for stimulating discussions on ideas that can transform challenges into opportunities, revolutionizing society.
E-Summit’23 has adopted ‘Inquisition of Infinity’ as its theme for the 12th edition, aiming to be a one-stop platform that brings together all those associated with the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including ideators, pitchers, Venture Capitalists (VCs), mentors, and entrepreneurial enthusiasts. This event empowers ideas that have the potential to shape the future of the country. It achieves this through a series of talk sessions, workshops, and competitions, each catering to a different segment of the audience.
Talking about the upcoming E-Summit, Prof. S Ganesh, Officiating Director, IIT Kanpur said, “At IIT Kanpur, we don’t just nurture innovation; we also ignite the spirit of entrepreneurship. In 2023, we topped the NIRF rankings in the innovation category, with a record-breaking 109 IPRs filed in 2022 and a total of 950 IPRs since our inception. The E-Summit, which stands for the ideals of change, fulfillment, freedom, meaning, community, and legacy, is an integral part of our institute. As part of our legacy, we also aim to impart knowledge and empower students to turn their ideas into enterprises, thus shaping the future.”
Shri Durga Shankar Mishra, Hon. Chief Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Government, will be the Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony of E-Summit’23 on October 13, 2023. Eminent personalities such as Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, Chief Executive Officer of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), along with Shri Shireesh Joshi, President and Chief Business Officer of Open Network For Digital Commerce (ONDC); Mr. Mahesh Gupta, Chairman & MD of Kent RO; Mr. Nitin Jain, Co-Founder OfBusiness; Mr. Saurabh Dwivedi, Founder of The Lallantop; Mr. Vijendra S. Chauhan, Associate Professor at DU; and Mr. Jasveer Singh, Co-Founder & CEO of Hood App will be a part.
