Bengaluru, August 11, 2023 – Swiggy, India’s leading on-demand convenience platform today announced the winners of ‘Swiggy Wiggy’ – A Delivery Partner Talent Hunt, aimed at recognizing and celebrating their hidden talents. With close to 1500 entries nationwide, the top 10 semi-finalists were shortlisted. Thereafter, five talented finalists were selected based on a public voting process that saw more than 5000 votes on Swiggy’s Delivery Partner Instagram page (@swiggy_deliverypartners). The finalists, with talents like dancing, singing and playing a musical instrument were flown down to the Swiggy head office in Bangalore for the grand finale, where they performed in front of a live audience comprising Swiggy leaders, employees, and others.

The winner, Ranjan Gosai from Rajkot, impressed the audience with his Tabla performance and was awarded a Royal Enfield as the grand prize. The first and second runners-up Shubham Tripathi, a rapper from Udaipur, and Raja Halder, a Bharatanatyam dancer from Kolkata received a cash prize of 1 Lakh and 50 thousand each.

Mihir Shah, Head of Operations, Swiggy shared “Our society often views delivery partners as people who just deliver their orders. Not everybody makes an attempt to know who this person is, their story, and what they love doing. We want to provide a platform for our delivery partners to express themselves through their talents. ‘Swiggy Wiggy’ is our endeavour to recognize and celebrate the diverse talent we have among Swiggy’s delivery partners. We are overwhelmed by the participation and talent displayed in the last few weeks, which reinforces our commitment to fostering an engaging environment for our partners while celebrating their unique passions.”

Ranjan Gosai the winner of Swiggy Wiggy said, “I started learning tabla at the age of 7 and conduct Tabla classes for 25 students both online and offline. It was so exciting to see so much talent among my fellow delivery partners. I was thrilled to be given a chance to perform in front of such a large audience and in such a setup today. Truly that is the greatest reward for an artist, the bike is a bonus,” he laughed.
