Jennifer Aniston, the Hollywood actress who made ‘The Rachel’ haircut one of the most iconic hairstyles of the 1990s, is ready to share her hair care secrets with the world through the introduction of her company, LolaVie.
Less than a week after teasing “something coming” on Instagram, Aniston launched LolaVie on Wednesday night with the debut of her first product, Glossing Detangler.
The news was published on the brand’s official Instagram page “Today marks the official launch of LolaVie – a small idea from @jenniferaniston that has grown into a line dedicated to making hair feel healthy and look effortless. Our products are manufactured with plant-based, organically derived ingredients – and are free of parabens, silicones, sulphates, phthalates, and gluten. We are also vegan and cruelty-free.”
“Our first product, The Glossing Detangler, is now available (tap!) – but there will be SO much more to come. We can’t wait to hear your feedback. Using the hashtag #LolaLove, “The post came to an end.
While Aniston has previously cooperated with brands, this is her first venture as a founder and designer. According to the star, the beauty move has been a long time coming.
“I’ve been working on this for a long time,” the ‘Morning Show’ star revealed a week before launching her debut product.
“I got the urge years ago to crawl behind the curtain and figure out how hair products are developed,” she continued.
Aniston requested the assistance of Amy Sachs and Joel Ronkin, who created several of her fragrances, to embark on this trip. They are now co-founders of LolaVie.
“When they decided to start their own firm, it was a match made in heaven,” she added of her current co-founders.
Aniston got inspiration for the brand’s moniker from her early years in California.
She said, “When I [arrived] and bought my very first car, a used car, somebody said to me, ‘What did you name it?’ And I looked at them and I went, ‘Is that something you do?’ And they were like, ‘Uh, yeah!’ So I named my car Lola on the spot. Maybe it’s because I love that song [Sarah Vaughan’s “Whatever Lola Wants”]. Then every time I’d come over, they’d be like, ‘Lola’s here’. So it just kind of became a name that I was called whenever I showed up [somewhere].”
Aniston chose timeless black-and-white packaging for a sophisticated aesthetic. When it came to product development, she had several goals, chief among them: “How can we nurture hair that is severely damaged and has endured the wear and tear that mine has endured?” “That is what we concentrated on, and we were all rather particular about it. It simply has to be flawless.”
Aniston took the process seriously and solicited the assistance of her male and female friends in order to perfect it.
“Whenever we had a new formula, I would give it to my friends because they have such a variety of hair types, and it was so lovely to hear feedback from them,” she explained.
As a result, a cruelty-free, vegan product is made without gluten, parabens, preservatives, phthalates, silicones, or sulphates.
Aniston dubbed the detangler “the Swiss Army Knife” of hair products due to its several benefits – which include preserving hair from heat damage and increasing shine – and has simplified her process to three steps: shampooing, conditioning, and a few spritzes of this.
Though Aniston’s hair has been a source of Hollywood attention for over two decades, the actress has stated that she sticks to “what makes me feel the most comfortable.”
“I’m a sucker for a nice blowout. Hairstyles have never been a passion of mine. At the end of the day, regardless of what I’m wearing, I simply want to feel beautiful in my flesh “‘She stated.
Aniston plans to release further hair products once they fulfil her criteria and stated that this is simply the beginning of her beauty goals.
“At the moment, it’s hair, but my mind is buzzing with thoughts. I see no limitations on anything “She came to a conclusion.
It’s very natural for the 52-year-old actress to venture into the world of beauty. Aniston has long been hailed for her radiant skin and gorgeous hair.
