The ‘greatest literary show on earth’ is scheduled to unfold between the 1st and 5th of February in the year 2024, at its cherished home, the Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur. Featuring an exceptional assembly of celebrated speakers, both from India and beyond, the Jaipur Literature Festival will, once again, serve as the gathering place for the world’s preeminent authors, intellectuals, humanitarians, political leaders, business magnates, and entertainers, all on one grand stage.
Featuring a rich five-day program brimming with literature, art and culture, this festival guarantees its enthusiasts unprecedented access to some of the literary world’s most renowned personalities. For this year’s literary celebration, we are pleased to introduce a special ‘Friends of the Festival’ (FOF) package for our attendees, promising an unmatched experience throughout the event. This exclusive experience includes access to a private and elegantly appointed Festival Lounge, where FOFs can unwind, network, and engage with festival speakers while enjoying tea, coffee, or lunch. It also comprises thoughtfully curated sessions with priority seating, captivating live music performances at the Jaipur Music Stage, and the opportunity to acquire official festival merchandise. Writers and Festival Directors Namita Gokhale and William Dalrymple, alongside Festival Producer Teamwork Arts, invite speakers to take part in the five-day programme set in the historic and dynamic state capital Jaipur.
Past speakers have ranged from Nobel Laureates J.M. Coetzee, Orhan Pamuk and Muhammad Yunus, Man Booker Prize winners Ben Okri, Margaret Atwood and Paul Beatty, Sahitya Akademi winners Girish Karnad, Gulzar, Javed Akhtar, M.T. Vasudevan Nair as well as the late Mahasweta Devi and U.R. Ananthamurthy along with literary superstars including Amish Tripathi, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Vikram Seth. An annual event that goes beyond literature, the Festival has also hosted Amartya Sen, Amitabh Bachchan, the late A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Oprah Winfrey, Stephen Fry, Thomas Piketty and former president of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai.

The first on-ground edition of ‘Be Inspired – Festival of Ideas’ was held in April 2023.
