Ashok Gehlot’s Witty Response to PM Modi’s “Magician” Remark

In a recent interview, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had some clever words in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “magician” remark.

Gehlot, a senior Congress leader, also touched on several other topics such as the party’s prospects in the upcoming state assembly polls, the controversial “red diary” issue, and poll guarantees.

“Magic Will Work”: Ashok Gehlot’s Clever Counter

When asked about PM Modi repeatedly referring to him as a “magician” during election rallies, Gehlot responded with wit and confidence.

He stated, “The magic will work. He says (Congress) will be ‘choo mantar’ (disappear) but (we) will tell who will be ‘choo mantar’.”

This quip showcases Gehlot’s ability to find the humor in political jabs while projecting self-assurance.

Gehlot also addressed the Kanhaiya Lal death case, emphasizing the alleged links between the accused and the BJP. He expressed disappointment with the progress of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) investigation, suggesting that it might have been delayed due to the upcoming elections.

Gehlot firmly believed that the accused should have been held accountable for their actions by now. He accused the BJP of interfering in the case and even claimed that the accused were initially released by the party.

The “Red Diary” Issue and Alleged Financial Irregularities

Turning to the “red diary” issue, which was raised by the BJP during the election campaign, Gehlot dismissed it as “nonsense.”

He challenged the BJP to hand over the supposed diary, which allegedly contains details of financial irregularities committed by the Gehlot government, to relevant authorities like the Enforcement Directorate, Income Tax department, or CBI.

Gehlot’s dismissal of these allegations suggests confidence in his government’s integrity and a desire for a thorough and fair investigation.

Reflecting on the upcoming state assembly polls, Gehlot expressed optimism and indicated that demand for his presence was high.

He revealed that requests were coming in from approximately 150 out of 200 seats, highlighting the public’s desire to see him campaign extensively.

While acknowledging the potential for local issues and complaints, Gehlot urged people to prioritize the greater good of the state and ignore minor shortcomings.

He emphasized his commitment to further strengthening existing schemes and introducing new ones.

BJP’s Reliance on PM Modi’s Face in Assembly Polls

Gehlot questioned the BJP’s decision to focus its campaign on Prime Minister Modi’s face in an assembly election rather than Lok Sabha elections.

He wondered why the party found itself in a position where it felt the need to rely on Modi’s image.

By posing this question, Gehlot subtly challenged the BJP’s ability to address local issues effectively and adapt its approach to different types of elections.

Responding to PM Modi’s guarantees, Gehlot argued that the real work lies with the leaders of Rajasthan, not with the Prime Minister who will only be present in the state until November 23.

He emphasized that the Congress has made concrete promises, highlighting their intention to deliver on their commitments.

Gehlot invited open debate and discussion on the effectiveness of the laws passed and called for a thorough assessment of the government’s schemes.
