On September 9, global smartphone maker Vivo is expected to introduce its forthcoming smartphone, the X70 Pro+, which features a 50MP primary camera and a Snapdragon 888+ CPU.
According to GSMArena, the cameras, which were developed in collaboration with Zeiss, would feature a 50MP 1/1.31″ primary sensor and a periscope lens. Samsung’s ISOCELL GN1 sensor will be used as the primary camera.
The ultra-wide-angle lens will include a Sony IMX598 48MP sensor, while the third camera will be a specialised portrait shooter. It will have a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor with a 2x magnification.
The periscope camera will include an 8MP sensor and a 5x zoom capability. Three of the four shooters will also offer optical image stabilisation for video, with the exception of the ultra-wide-angle shooter, the report stated.
The new flagship is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 888+ chipset, as evidenced by its debut on Geekbench. It was evaluated on the benchmarking platform under the model name V2145A and scored 1156 with a single core and 3460 with multiple cores, it added.
According to a recent source, the business may launch both the X70 and X70 Pro smartphones with distinct chipsets in China and other worldwide markets.
The Vivo X60 and X60 Pro were launched in China last year with the Exynos 1080 CPU, while the worldwide markets received the Snapdragon 870 SoC variations.
