Recognizing the efforts of Anganwadi staff in containing the second wave of the Corona outbreak, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that Smart Anganwadi will create the groundwork for children’s holistic development. The CM stated that during the second wave of the corona-19 pandemic, monitoring committees were established to control illness transmission in rural regions. As members of these committees, anganwadi workers distributed medical kits door-to-door and educated the public about the immunisation. Their commitment and work have altered popular perceptions of workers.
Referring to the encephalitis illness, the Chief Minister stated that no one looked after the innocent from 1977 to 1997. Four youngsters used to share a bed in Gorakhpur-Basti division hospitals. “No government took notice. We fought to put an end to this scenario after our government took office in 2017. He stated that the success of the ‘Dastak Abhiyan’ was due to the sisters of Anganwadi workers.
He stated that if UP has succeeded in eradicating Encephalitis by 95-97 percent now, the credit should go to Anganwadi workers. Yogi stated that our administration has taken steps in this direction, and today nutritious food is made in the district specifically for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
The Minister of Women, Child Development, and Publicity cited the distribution of smartphones as an example of electronic governance. He stated that Chief Minister Yogi is committed to good administration and that e-government is an extremely valuable tool for achieving that goal.
The government’s goal in supplying smartphones to staff is to increase transparency and real-time data updates for Anganwadi programmes. This will enable them to administer the Anganwadi’s nutrition and child care programmes more efficiently.
