‘Hotel Transylvania: Transformania’ shifts release date to October

The fourth and final instalment of the popular ‘Hotel Transylvania’ franchise, ‘Hotel Transylvania: Transformania,’ will now open in a far more frightening month than originally planned. Variety reports that the film, which was originally scheduled to open on July 23, will now open on October 1, kicking off the Halloween season.

Drac (Brian Hull) and the rest of the monsters embark on an all-new adventure filled with twists and turns in the film. Throughout the storey, when Van Helsing’s (Jim Gaffigan) new invention transforms all the monsters into humans and Johnny (Andy Samberg) into a monster, they must work together to reverse the transformation before it becomes permanent.

Genndy Tartakovsky, creator of the ‘Hotel Transylvania’ franchise, is the screenwriter and executive producer of the new film, which is directed by Jennifer Kluska and Derek Drymon. Selena Gomez will reprise her role as Mavis, Drac’s daughter, in addition to serving as executive producer. Michelle Murdocca and Alice Dewey Goldstone also executive produced ‘Hotel Transylvania: Transformania.’

The film’s cast also includes Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, David Spade, Asher Blinkoff, Brad Abrell, Fran Drescher, and Molly Shannon. ‘Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation’, the franchise’s previous 2018 instalment, grossed approximately USD 167.5 million at the domestic box office.
