Jiofiber post-paid broadband service will begin for new customers from Thursday, with no installation fee charged. The installation charge for new connections is presently set at Rs 1,500. Customers who want to be on Jiofiber post-paid will have to select either a six-month or a 12-month plan that starts at a monthly price of Rs 399. This is the industry’s lowest-priced plan.
The company announced that if customers want to pay for a higher plan with extra OTT services, they will have to return a Rs 1,000 deposit. 4k Set-top boxes will be available for free for OTT apps. The operator’s plans, including those priced at Rs 999 and above, allow users to download up to 15 OTT apps on one plan, such as regional OTT apps such as DisneyHotstar, Amazon Prime, Zee5, SonyLiv, SunNxt, and HoiChoi.
Jio holds the majority of the broadband market share in India, with 54.56% of the market. It has 15.6 per cent market share and over 31 lakh customers.
