Aryan Khan, who is now imprisoned in Arthur Road jail for alleged involvement in illegal substances, stated during his counselling session on Sunday that he will make everyone proud of him once he is out.

According to sources, during Aryan Khan’s counselling, Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and social workers were present. During the session, Aryan Khan stated that he will engage in social work and strive for the upliftment of the lower strata of society. “He will assist financially all those in need,” insiders stated.

Khan further stated to NCB that he will never commit any wrongdoings, will strive for the greater good of society, and will make ‘you proud of me’.

Along with Aryan, other defendants were counselled by NCB personnel following their arrest.

Meanwhile, Aryan Khan, who was arrested in connection with the drugs-on-cruise case, spoke to his parents Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan via video call on October 15 from inside Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail, jail officials confirmed.

According to the High Court’s order, the accused or convicts incarcerated in the jail during COVID-19 are permitted to communicate with their family members twice a week through video call.

“Aryan was on the phone for ten minutes with his parents, and he was accompanied on the call by a jail official,” the official explained.

The Arthur Road Prison houses a total of 3,200 inmates. Individuals are not permitted to visit convicts under the jail’s protocols during the pandemic. They can only communicate with them via telephone.

Inmates are permitted ten minutes to speak with family members.

On October 2, an NCB team busted an alleged narcotics party on the Cordelia Cruise ship, which was en route to Goa.

Twenty persons, including two Nigerian nationals, have been arrested in connection with the recovery of drugs during a raid on the Cordelia cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai on October 2.
