Sahil Vaid, who previously stated that he regretted doing Shershaah, has now retracted his remarks following backlash from Dharma Productions.

Sahil Vaid has retracted previous claims about his performance in the recently released film Shershaah going overlooked and him regretting filming the film because he did not get the part he desired.

He stated in an interview that his remarks offended ‘people from Dharma Productions’ and that he never used the word’regret’. Sahil did, however, state, “I am realising that I should not have done this picture; no one is even talking about what I accomplished in it.”

“I adored being a part of Shershaah,” he told India.com. I’m not sure why the word’regret’ was used in the article. I never used the phrase’regret Shershaah’. I have no regrets about participating in Shershaah. My initial reaction was that it was a minor role. When I was eventually informed that I would be filling in for a friend. I come from an army family and aspired to star in this film and play the role of a soldier, which allows me to perform some action. However, I have never expressed regret for completing Shershaah. That was not my declaration.”

“Shershaah has been launched, and the reviews are coming in,” he continued. While everyone is discussing the film, nobody is discussing these great performers who have donated their support to the project. There are some truly remarkable actors who worked on this film, putting their egos aside and taking on tiny roles… They agreed to play supporting roles in order to pay honour to the late Captain Vikram Batra. That is why I made this picture as well, and now I see I should not have made it; no one is talking about what I did in the film.”
