Neha Dhupia and her actor husband Angad Bedi announced their second pregnancy on Monday with an adorable family photo featuring their daughter Mehr. However, the couple’s journey thus far has been turbulent, with Angad testing positive for Covid-19 during the early months of her pregnancy.

Neha explained to HT, “Hard is an understatement. We endured a great deal. It’s always difficult when someone close to you contracts Covid-19, but it’s even more difficult when you’re pregnant, but Angad was instrumental in keeping me positive during that time.”

Additionally, she stated that she would like to do a number of things differently if she were to become a mother again. Neha continued, “The second pregnancy has been unique.” I have fewer questions in my mind now that I understand the rhythms of it, as well as why and how the mind and body react to it. I constantly make comparisons to my first pregnancy. The lockdown, on the other hand, did not make it any easier.”

She also admitted that the pandemic situation occasionally overwhelms her and that she and Angad are treading more cautiously this time than in the past. She was quoted as saying, “This time around, we’ve exercised a little more caution than usual.” And spending the majority of my time indoors, spending the majority of my time with Mehr and preparing her and the house for the baby. The world in which we live is the one thing that overwhelms me. There is a great deal of uncertainty in your mind, such as whether we are bringing our child into a safe zone or not. However, as a mother, you will always have that in the back of your mind, if you are good enough. These are just a few of the questions that have you stumped.”

When asked about Angad’s reaction, she stated, “It was brimming with excitement and joy.” It’s somewhere between amazed, amused, and delighted. We looked at one another [and realised] that this is exactly what we desired and obtained.”

Neha also revealed that her daughter Mehr is aware that she will be a big sister, but Neha is tasked with teaching Mehr how to share everything. “Kids are extremely intuitive,” she explained. I also show her small babies and inform her that she will soon have a sibling. She has retained a pet name for the infant, and I make certain she rubs on my stomach and is aware. She is so padded with love from her grandparents and parents that we must also prepare her for sharing everything, including mummy and daddy time. That is something for which we will have a difficult time preparing her.”
