After a nearly two-year delay, the makers of The Family Man are preparing to release the show’s second season. The thriller featuring Manoj Bajpayee was an instant hit with the audience when it premiered in 2019 and is still one of India’s most popular OTT shows. Srikant Tiwari’s storey began with him attempting to create the perfect work-life balance, but it quickly developed into a high-stakes drama that concluded on a massive cliffhanger.
With only a few days till the premiere of Amazon Prime Video’s new season of ‘The Family Man,’ the anticipation is building. The trailer went viral almost immediately after it was released. Now, the teaser has given us a sneak peak at what our favourite characters are up to as well as a preview of what’s to come! Srikant abandoned his job at TASC and went to work for a corporation in the trailer. However, it is evident that he is unhappy, and he also appears to be bored. Srikant’s difficulties are compounded by his new manager, who thinks he’s a “Cool Boss” and is shown encouraging him not to be a “minimum guy.” Srikant’s life has taken a new turn, and fans can expect plenty of raucous moments as he struggles to find interest in his new profession.

Suchi and Srikant, who have had a tumultuous relationship, are seen seeking treatment from a marriage counsellor in the teaser for the new season of The Family Man. Suchi even goes so far as to call their marriage a ruse. It would be interesting to see if Suchi and Srikant can navigate the turbulent waters of their marriage now that he has a new corporate job, and if they can stay together as a happy couple or not.
Whenever anyone asks for an example of excellent team members, my mind goes straight to Srikant and JK. These two have a fantastic collaboration that allows them to solve crimes while having a good time. They are so in sync with each other that even over the phone, JK can tell that Srikant is suffering from FOMO since he is not a part of the mission. Srikant is dissatisfied with his corporate work, and he is eager to join him in the middle of the new case’s action. When Srikant later rejoins the TASC, he is reunited with his old pal JK, and the two immediately revert to their former ways of solving crimes. During tight moments, it will be fascinating to observe their togetherness and quick witted humour.
Samantha Akkineni, who stars in the new season of The Family Man, will play Srikant’s archnemesis. It is stated in the press release that Raji sends chills down our spines as we are able to see bits of her character in the trailer. Samantha’s first performance will be memorable, as we begin to learn about Raji and her motivations.
Srikant appears to have a unique bond with his family, as evidenced by the trailer. He is a loving parent who is frequently bullied by his children. He constantly tries his hardest to be there for his family, but owing to the demanding nature of his covert job, he falls short. His wife is also annoyed that he puts their job ahead of his family. It’ll be interesting to watch how he manages to strike a balance between work and family in his own comedic way in the upcoming season.
